There is a package called corefonts. Emerge it. The fonts should show up in libreoffice.
You can also copy fonts to /usr/share/fonts/corefonts if you already have them as files somewhere. _________________ Kali Ma

Thanks a lot.
I didn't have it. I emerged it and restarted libreoffice. Now it works nicely.

for non-system, non-portage fonts I wold add them in:
u can also 'steal' fonts from a mac or m$$$$$ install and do something like:
Code: | ~/.fonts/m$$$/
~/.fonts/o$$x/ |

That works, too. Especially recommended when you're replacing the crippled Arial etc. that come with corefonts with the ones from a Windows box. Otherwise they'll be overwritten by the next corefonts update. _________________ Kali Ma

If you have multiple users, you can put fonts in /usr/local/share/fonts/<mk_a_dir> so everyone can see them.
