Hi there ,have a hassle getting a startup on my Benq joybook p53. I can install a binary distro and everything appears to be ok,with the restrictions that the distro apply's to users, which I'm personally not too enamoured of.
1) the boot sequenc runs as per normal and gets to the point of waiting for udev events to complete,at this point the laptop appears to try and switch to a graphical screen, but as I have not setup xdm to boot into a graphical environment(still in the install phase) the system locks up,and I have to reboot, .
Does anyone have an idea or a fix for this .
Any help gratefully received
