yup, Just rebuilding my lfie and getting back to where I was a few years ago. Trying to find new and sustaining work. Rebuilding all my computers because save for a crappy netbook that needs it's battery replaced they are all dead. But once I have myself a new job I'll be able to pay for things like computer parts, toys, a new apartment, and even a new car. :)

Currently reinstalling gentoo on my netbook. And once again I'm wondering on my kernel. Sumbitch!

Maybe once I get the netbook rebuilt with gentoo.

I'm at the annoying kernel compilation phase. The one that always screwes up on me without major assistence.

It has been a while since I did a full gentoo rebuild. I can't even remember a few of the commands I used to use.

I definatly don't remember the kernel having or needing an initramfs so much that is was actually an option in the installation documentation to create it.

Welcome back. I just finished a Gentoo install myself after a long time away. I was so rusty.

I know what you mean. I've been trying to rebuild my skills as it stands but it's ttaking me a bit. I've got the damn kernel issues and still need to finish. Gonna try gnome 3 on my netbook, mostly for it being a imple install and no need for anything extremely complex. I'd probably be doing kde4 or something if this was a desktop setup.
