hi everyone,
after updating to gcc 4.5.4, i am unable to emerge anything. I am using a lenovo x120e with amd e350 apu. the gcc profile is correct and active.
the error which i get during emerge is

checking whether the C compiler works... no
configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables
error while loading shared libraries: libmpc.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

i tried revdep-rebuild , it found some error in gcc but couldnt re-emerge it.

here is my make.conf

What's the output of gcc-config -l?

Btw, upgrading GCC may require a bit more work … please read this: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/gcc-upgrading.xml

Simple tricks won't work here - this is basically a variation of this thread.
As this seems to come from dev-libs/mpc-1.0* upgrade, chances are there soon will be other - less than careful - people who'll get hit by this.
