|
|
I was updating my system and openrc got pulled in somehow..
i believe I read the info on updating it, but Im seeing weird things now when i restart daemons..
i.e.
Quote: | beast jason # /etc/init.d/dnsmasq start
* Starting udev ...
* start-stop-daemon: /sbin/udevd is already running
* Failed to start udev [ !! ]
* ERROR: udev failed to start
* Starting dnsmasq ... [ ok ] |
did I miss something. I didnt reboot the system since the update.
most all daemons behave this way now.
regards,
db

yall were right! I had to first stop/kill /etc/init.d/udev
Quote: | /etc/init.d/udev restart |
it wouldnt stop gracefully, I had to kill it and then restart it.
and after that, all the other daemons were behaving.
thanks,
