Hello
I'm trying to mount an external hdd usb 3.0 in a laptop with usb 2.0 ports, but when I plug the hdd to usb the new device doesn't be created.
The dmesg output it is reported below:
usb 2-1: new high-speed USB device number 4 using ehci_hcd
usb 2-1: New USB device found, idVendor=0930, idProduct=0b1a
usb 2-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
usb 2-1: Product: STOR.E ALU 2S
usb 2-1: Manufacturer: TOSHIBA
usb 2-1: SerialNumber: 20122301210005
and it seems to be ok. But I'm not able to mount the deice because there is no device in /dev directory.
The same laptop can be booted in Windows Vista, and in that case the hdd will work fine.
Any suggestion? |
