Yeah, that was extremely helpful! Thanks :D One last question though: On the /boot partition, should I use Ext2 or Btrfs? I've never used a /boot partition before...

These boot partitions might have been helpful 15 years ago when Lilo had some restrictions regarding the location of a bootable image. But for at least 10 years now I see no reason to fragment my disk with a separate boot partition. I don't know about Grub or Grub2, but they shouldn't expose such restrictions either.

Well I figured out how to configure Grub2 to allow for /boot to be in the @root subvolume:
Code:

linux   /@root/boot/kernel-3.6.6-20121103 root=/dev/sda3 rootflags=subvol=@root

I still use a /boot with ext2, because you never know, old stuff is always the best for the /boot stuff.

Then you probably don't have a need for it.
