Simple question : I'd like to have thunar (instead of nautilus) as default application for "open containing folder" when I right click on a file which has been downloaded.
Does someone know how to do this ?

I tried to follow this guide : http://rubylution.ping.de/articles/2007/09/11/open-containing-folder-in-firefox-under-linux
...but doesn't work
(by adding new entries in about:config)

are you running gnome, xfce4 or openbox (*box)?

If in gnome just set thunar as the default file manager.

As your on openbox I would remove nautilus and slim down to Thunar then start Thunar as a daemon:

Code:

~/.conf/openbox/autostart

thunar --daemon

Thx for your reply.
I tried this but it's still nautilus starting instead of thunar while right clicking on "open containing folder" in firefox...

I would prefer not removing totally nautilus but using thunar.

Is there no mozilla configuration which make possible to choose with what application opening folders ?
