FSlint is a utility to find and clean various forms of lint on a filesystem. I.E. unwanted or problematic cruft in your files or file names. For example, one form of lint it finds is duplicate files. It has both GUI and command line modes.

I've used this program in the past and it really helped me clean up duplicate files on my system, however now I can't seem to get it to run. I'm curious if anyone can take a peek in the source code or help me figure out why it's producing syntax errors? The ebuild I used was:

http://www.pixelbeat.org/fslint/fslint-2.42.ebuild

Which is right from the author's website. I tried re-emerging it several times. There's an outdated 2.18 ebuild in bugs.gentoo.org but I can't seem to unmask due to a missing keyword. I tried putting it in package.keywords and package.unmask without any luck. I really don't care which version I get as long as it runs. If anyone can try to emerge it and help me out I'd greately appreciate it, I think it's a pretty nice program that deserves to be in the portage tree.

Code:
fslint-gui
  File "/usr/bin/fslint-gui", line 173
    except getopt.error, msg:
                       ^
SyntaxError: invalid synta
