I've started recompiling the kernel. I'm searching, but only find Nouveau (in Direct Rendering Manager (XFree86 for 3D acceleration, as I could grasp)
Current .config is this:

my apologies, it seems that your card isn't supported by latest closed driver.
please follow this tutorial: http://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Nouveau

I stronglly recommand you compile the driver as module and not built in.

also, be sure to remove nvidia from VIDEO_CARDS.

No worries. I'ts my ignorance.
Before module-making I'll share xorg.conf (was no file/no catalog):
http://bpaste.net/show/53843/
after nvidia->nouveau it works like this:
http://imgur.com/a/ZDc5q

3 white consoles, presumably from xterm. When I had no xterm installed (also without any xorg.conf) startx had no appearance and graphical responce). I did tty rotation via ctrl-alt-f2*
http://bpaste.net/show/53844/ -/var/log/Xorg.0.log

After return to tty with startx - no white rectangles anymore, only 2 lines added to again-black screen:
/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc: line 60: xclock: command not found
/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc: line 59: twm: command not found

remove xorg.conf, you don't need it.

no mouse. no alt-tab (window toggle)
Appeared clock & some window decor :D
And therefore undoubtly unusable 2 out of 3 windows (even 4, with xclock))

Definitely solely console in GUI in'da-center of da screen^^
ps -A

http://bpaste.net/show/53869/

And it's neither CDE nor gnome. And I'm afraid that something is not set or not set at all. No mouse - ok, could skip. But how to operate or check it is looking as it should. My wish is openbox but again I'm afraid to just emerge openbox.
Enormous amount of applications and time spent (by system) on compiling xorg package. All I see is a different console.
Apologies for my unreleased views.

xcislav,

What you have is three xterms, xclock all running in twm, which is actually a very nice window manager. (Well, I like it)

If you don't have a mouse, check your kernel for EVDEV
Code:
 $ grep EVDEV /usr/src/linux/.config
CONFIG_INPUT_EVDEV=y
# CONFIG_USB_PWC_INPUT_EVDEV is not set
is the right answer. Fix your kernel if needed.

Also look at INPUT_DEVICES in make.conf
It should say "evdev". Laptop users will want "evdev synaptics"
Fix that if required then
Code:
emerge -1 xf86-input-evdev ...

If xorg has been upgraded, you may have the Xorg drivers built for the wrong ABI.
Look in /var/log/Xorg.0.log for lines complianing about ABI mismatches.
The fix is to remerge the drivers.

Mouse was wrong-inserted.

Windows are moving, tasks are switching. Only by mouse. TWM is good. I exited it. Mouse is still moving, even switching & selecting xterm. An interesting concept.

May be i can pursue in pure xorg (how to do something).
Emerged openbox - it just works. 8)
