azzerare ~ # exit
logout
cwc@azzerare ~ $ ooffice (hangs)

I did un-install and re-install.

I can run open office from root but not from a normal user?

I thought that Open Office had been dropped in favour of libreoffice, much like XFree and Xorg.

Where did you get OpenOffice from?

Does this happen with a newly created user too? If not, try to rename your openoffice profile directory.

Would that be:

cwc@azzerare ~ $ cd /home/cwc/.ooo3/
cwc@azzerare ~/.ooo3 $ ls -l
total 4
drwxr-xr-x 3 cwc cwc 4096 Oct 13 20:03 user
