Hi, my emerge keeps stalling, I've detailed what I know below, if this is not the right place to ask for help, please let me know.

Whenever i try to emerge net-libs/webkit-gtk-1.8.3-r300 the emerge rolls along (cpu and ram usage) for a while, and then stops at a certain line. Even when left for several hours it does not progress and there is no further cpu or ram usage.

-> This is the only ebuild which I am aware has this problem, all other ebuilds merge fine.

-> The las few lines of output that I see are:

Tools/DumpRenderTree/TestNetscapePlugIn/PluginObject.cpp: In function ‘void pluginLogWithWindowObjectVariableArgs(NPObject*, NPP_t*, const char*, ...)’:
Tools/DumpRenderTree/TestNetscapePlugIn/PluginObject.cpp:70:53: warning: function might be possible candidate for ‘gnu_printf’ format attribute
Tools/DumpRenderTree/TestNetscapePlugIn/PluginObject.cpp: In function ‘void pluginLogWithArguments(NPP_t*, const char*, __va_list_tag*)’:
Tools/DumpRenderTree/TestNetscapePlugIn/PluginObject.cpp:79:53: warning: function might be possible candidate for ‘gnu_printf’ format attribute
  CXXLD  TestNetscapePlugin/

but I don't really see a problem with a couple of warnings.

When I do exit the ebuild I get the following which might be suggestive of what is meant to be going on in the background, I am unsure.

Exiting on signal 2
sandbox:stop  caught signal 2 in pid 16838
sandbox:stop  signal already caught and busy still cleaning up!

++ msg='/usr/portage/net-libs/webkit-gtk/webkit-gtk-1.8.3-r300.ebuild: src_compile aborted; e

-> Just incase it's asked, I believe my ram is fine, I just did a memtest and no errors were noted.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can post, I was tempted to post a bug report, but it seemed kinda scary, so I posted here instead.

PS. Here is my thing-bob which I think I'm meant to post

MAKEOPTS back to 1 fixed this issue. Not an ideal solution, but this thread can be closed/removed, thanks.
