SSHD not working with install-amd64-minimal-20121107.iso

When booting my system with install-amd64-minimal-20121107.iso I am not able to start sshd after configuring the network using net-setup eth0. The error reported is that syslog-ng failed to start as /var/lib/misc/syslog-ng.persist- is missing. Also attempt to startup sshd manually (/usb/bin/sshd) fail with /etc/ssh/ssh_host_ecdsa_key not being found.

The same problem occurs with : install-amd64-minimal-20121013.iso

last good minimal cd autobuild was in june. earlier thead https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-938142-start-0-postdays-0-postorder-asc-highlight-.html beats this topic to death. Use a system rescue cd instead.

gentoo based tool for system repair that has excellent hardware support and works find sysresccd here
