I have seen some posts on using Grub2 to replace init or initramfs for those needing cryptsetup unlock root.
It appears grub2 ships with crypt setup.
So all that is needed is to hand off key to kernel?
Has anyone played around with this?
Seem grub2 could save the hassle of building init's for encrypted root systems.
Is grub2 now a early userspace? _________________ Donate to Gentoo
