So, I have been running Gnome 3 for a long time and I love it. For some reason, I messed up my system with ~amd64 and circular dependencies. I used to be able to fix those errors, but anyway, I ended up re-installing gentoo, I needed the practice. I decided to use the stable packages, and I really have only 2 or 3 packages with the ~amd64 keyword. So I installed gnome-light + some other gnome utils, and it installed gnome 2. I just forgot how nice it runs. I'll be using this until Gnome 3 is stable.
[EDIT] I remember why I had to re-install, I could successfully compile gnome-applets, complaining about libweather/weather-gconf.h missing, so I could not start Gnome 3 anymore. |

Yeah Gnome 2 still kicking. But IMO it missing a good launcher, there was a nice launcher called Synapse, but I think it's dead now.
But what's the question? Or this is just a "my dairy" entry |
