hi,

i just got a new usb-webcam and stumbled right into some problems...
On it's own the webcam (logitech c600) works just fine, but when i am watching dvb-t with kaffeine via usb (dvb_usb_af9015) and start up the webcam-application both freeze and stop working until i reboot. I already tried plugging them in different usb-ports (even into an external usb3-card) but nothing seems to fix the issue.

Does anyone have a clue where to start digging or how to fix this?

greetings,
strowi

Strowi,

Those two devices are booth max USB power devices. They must be conneced to separate USB root hubs. A powered USB hub may work too.
dmesg may show USB overcurrent issues.

If you have /proc/bus/usb/devices, please post it. if not
Code:
 lsusb -vvv
will do.

Thx NeddySeagoon,

i just checked.. they were on the same bus. Now it seems to work..

Still a little weird, because it didn't when the dvbt-stick was plugged into the usb3-expansion card which definitely was a differen hub.. But maybe that was a completely unrelated different issue regarding usb3.:)
