I'm testing the 2.5 kernel to compare performance in wine/winex and sound performance when compiling alsa into the kernel, now.. I can compile and install it just fine, I can also start it just fine, but I don't get a login prompt.. it stops at starting local (with ok, and if I turn that off, it stops at the step before that).
any ideas on how to fix that? |

tracked the problem down, the problem is, that I don't have /dev/tty1-6 (those are links to /dev/vc/1-6, which doesen't exist either).
gonna give it a shot later without devfs, and I'll see if that works. |
