Hello guys, I've got a HP Probook 4530s and I'd like to achieve a better battery life.
What should I use to improve it? Which modules should I compile in the kernel?

i would recommend you to check http://lesswatts.org/ and to play around with 'sys-power/powertop' and the tips it provides. |

I'm currently playing with PowerTop, cpufreq and laptop-mode.
I'll post the results
EDIT: I can't notice any difference by using these 3 tools combined... my battery life still sucks... running with lowest frequency with "ondemand" governor. |

if you have cpu-frequency-scaling enabled in your kernel-config and you are using the 'ondemand'-govenor you do not need tools like 'cpufreqd' as the kernel will take care of your frequency-scaling on demand :)
maybe you can tweak your video-drivers...
maybe your battery has just a small capacity? can you post the output of
