Hello guys, I'm trying to tweak my rc configs in order to decrease the boot time
Now my laptop boots in 11.8 seconds and I noticed that the services that takes longer to initialize is udev. How can I tweak it?
I already use the "rc_parallel" flag. Thank you!

GSnake ... can I ask what you plan to do with the extra seconds?

# WARNING: whilst we have improved parallel, it can still potentially lock
# the boot process. Don't file bugs about this unless you can supply
# patches that fix it without breaking other things!

best ... khay

is that from hitting the power button to useable desktop?

albright,

Maybe you need coreboot?

WARNING:be really really sure you want to try this as it can brick your system.
Understand what you are letting yourself in for before you try and if in doubt, don't

too scary for me (and no sign they support x300)

anyway, I wasn't complaining; I can wait 30 seconds to boot :)
