Hi,
I tried to run skype, but I got this error:
Code:
./skype: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

afterwards I checked ldd skype, that does not look very nice (too many 'not found' links):
Code:
ldd /opt/bin/skype

I remember I upgraded gcc recently (was it today?) to version 4.5.4
I tried to re-emerge skype to compile it with this new gcc; I also run revdep-rebuild with no effect

could you help me how to fix this missing library (libraries)?
thanks a lot

http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/gcc-upgrading.xml refers

Code:
emerge -u gcc
gcc-config -l
gcc-config
env-update && source /etc/profile
emerge --oneshot libtool

did you do last two steps?
glibc also current?
hail mary: emerge -e system

Now I've noticed, that LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable is empty - is it correct? Because some people on the Internet say that it should be never set and others say otherwise.
LDPATH is empty,too

I think this could be the problem...
thanks

is LD_LIBRARY_PATH supposed to be an environment variable? if so I'm getting along quite well without it. same for LDPATH here I have:
