|
|
Hi there!
The topic title pretty much sums it up. I need to get a remote desktop connection to another computer running XFCE4. Ideally, I would be able to take over the user's desktop like you can with TeamViewer and similar software in Windows. Gnome also has such a tool - Vino.
I tried TightVNC but I didn't achieve what I wanted. I was following the how to in wiki.gentoo.org.
Does anyone know if I can do something like that with XFCE? Can I use Vino? _________________ Kali Ma

Can you manage the remote computer locally once in a while? You could use FreeNX or nomachine's NX as an VNC alternative |

I'd go with NX. I used it with XFCE, Gnome2 and E17. Works good and fast. You can leave sessions waiting on the remote host and reconnect later. |
