Where does KDE keep all its stuff?
I know about
~/.kde4/
~/.kderc
/var/tmp/kdecache-[user]/
There must be somewhere else that KDE stores its crap.
Basically I want to delete everything to make KDE think my main user is a new user, so it re-creates everything with default settings when I next log-on. Simply deleting (actually re-naming) the above two directories without X running wasn't enough.
I want to do this because I'm having problems when first logging on with my main user. I have to log off, then back on again to get full functionality. If I login as a different user first, that user works fine, and I can switch users to my main and it's fine. The problem is just the first log-on of my main user when logged on first after a restart.

No ide about KDE, but I'd try to create a new user, launch KDE and then check what files/directories have been created - it should be easy when you start from empty home dir. _________________ BTW, TWM FTW! |
