I don't think there is an option to add a kernel parameter ro the install cd when booting up.

I tried rebooting with nodmraid but it didn't make a difference, still got this error...

There is nothing on sda1.
sda and sdc are two brand new hard drives with nothing on them. I want to setup RAID1 using those two drives and then install Gentoo. All I have done is used fdisk to partition them |

There is a sdb, sdd, sde, sdf(cdrom)
They are all blank. I don't want to do anything with those right now. I want to get hda and hdc setup as RAID1 and then install Gentoo on them. |
