Nvidia drivers not working after last update [solved]

Help with creation, editing, or playback of sounds, images, or video. Amarok, audacious, mplayer, grip, cdparanoia and anything else that makes a sound or plays a video.

Nvidia drivers not working after last update [solved]

I just did an update of world and nvidia drivers were update along with xorg.
I use starts to start gnome. I get a blank screen. I did a mod probe and an eselect OpenGL set 1 for nvidia
Looking at /var/log/Xorg.0.log does not tell me much


should the nvidia-bug-report.log.gz be a text file?

How should I set my session so I can still use starts?

Any ideas? Typing this a iPad not fun

First thing I would try: Downgrade the nvidia driver back to what it was before.

hmmm. I'll look it portage to see what I had.

if you are using KDE, try to look at /var/log/kdm.log

in my case there was problem with libattica, re-emerge kdelibs and attica solved the problem.

I also re-emerged xorg-base
