Hypnos,
/boot on that system is a 5 spindle raid1. I had to do it that way as its also GPT, so there is no free space before the first partition for the grub stage1.5.
The kernel is an EFI compliant program. If you have a recent kernel and and EFI system, no bootloader is required. _________________ Regards,

True, and you don't even need an EFI manager *if* you have decent firmware in your mainboard such that you can easily add and select among Linux boot entries. _________________ Personal overlay | Simple backup scheme |
