Hi All,
I have Compaq 615, Radeon HD 3200 Graphics.
After kernel upgrading (3.4.9-gentoo) I'm unable to change the brightness, I have always used /proc/acpi/video to change it, but it dissipated.
Code: | mirus linux # ls /proc/acpi/
ac_adapter battery button event |
Kernel options:
Code: | [*] ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) Support --->
[*] Deprecated /proc/acpi files
[*] Deprecated power /proc/acpi directories
< > EC read/write access through /sys/kernel/debug/ec
[*] Deprecated /proc/acpi/event support
<*> AC Adapter
<*> Battery
<*> Button

<*> Fan
[*] Dock
<*> Processor
< > Processor Aggregator
<*> Thermal Zone
-*- NUMA support

[*] Power Management Timer Support
< > Container and Module Devices (EXPERIMENTAL)
< > Smart Battery System
< > Hardware Error Device
< > Allow ACPI methods to be inserted/replaced at run time

The problem is solved.
I'm able to use /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness for this purposes. |
