I've been getting these errors in kdm.log for a while now but haven't been able to figure out why.
I haven't experienced any slowdowns or lockups in X nor is X using a high percentage of the cpu. These messages don't show up in Xorg.0.log either
Here's a part of the log.
Quote:
[mi] EQ overflowing. Additional events will be discarded until existing events are processed.

[mi] Increasing EQ size to 1024 to prevent dropped events.
[mi] EQ processing has resumed after 117 dropped events.
[mi] This may be caused my a misbehaving driver monopolizing the server's resources.

This is a G31 motherboard and I saw the same kind of messages on another machine with a G31 board.

Looks like (although I could be wrong) it may have something to do with libdrm or your Intel driver. So I presume you have an onboard graphics card?
Which versions of libdrm and xf86-video-intel do you have installed?
Also, can you post the output of emerge --info please?

Cool.
Can you pull back xf86-video-intel to previous versions such as 2.17.0-r3 or (~)2.18.0, and see if that solves the problem?
