Good day,

When I emerge kaffeine or krename I receive the following error:

Code:
>>> Emerging (1 of 1) media-video/kaffeine-1.2.2
 * kaffeine-1.2.2.tar.gz RMD160 SHA1 SHA256 size ;-) ...                                               [ ok ]
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking kaffeine-1.2.2.tar.gz to /var/tmp/portage/media-video/kaffeine-1.2.2/work
>>> Source unpacked in /var/tmp/portage/media-video/kaffeine-1.2.2/work
>>> Preparing source in /var/tmp/portage/media-video/kaffeine-1.2.2/work/kaffeine-1.2.2 ...
 * ERROR: media-video/kaffeine-1.2.2 failed (prepare phase):
 *   wrong doc dir specified
 *
 * Call stack:
 *     ebuild.sh, line   85:  Called src_prepare
 *   environment, line 3660:  Called kde4-base_src_prepare
 *   environment, line 2871:  Called enable_selected_doc_linguas
 *   environment, line 1433:  Called die
 * The specific snippet of code:
 *           [[ -d ${handbookdir} ]] || die 'wrong doc dir specified';

The same occurs for krename:
Code:
* ERROR: kde-misc/krename-4.0.9 failed (prepare phase):
 *   wrong doc dir specified

From other posts I found that this usually was an error in the ebuild and was solved with a new ebuild.
I did not find any registered bugs for these two programs, could this also be an issue with my Gentoo-System?

cheers
Tom

Problem is solved, I stumbled over the following variable in my /etc/make.conf:

KDE_HANDBOOK=optional

I found no documentation about what this does (or where I did get it from, must have typed that in myself) so I removed it.
Without that line in make.conf kaffeine and krename did emerge successful.

All my own fault :wink:
