Is it possible to run X on one video card output (the HDMI out on my nVidia 430, for instance), and use either the VGA output on that card or my onboard graphics VGA to run just a plain text console? |

Hi,
if the default one for characters terminals is VGA, then you can use your Nvidia for X with appropriate configuration of xorg.conf. I do not see anything else. _________________ Paul

Yes - I would be able to use the on-board VGA graphics for the terminal, and the nVidia card for the X server. Is there any special configuration I need to do for this? |
