Hi,
since SysCP is not further developed, I would like to know if any of you tried Froxlor (a fork) yet? Is it stable and working well with Gentoo? |

The Froxlor web page lists Gentoo at the top of its list of "distributions supported". It's not in the main portage repository. I have seen a reference to it being in the prefix overlay, but I don't find it there upon searching.
Apparently someone has created an ebuild for it, though, which you can put in your own overlay (you might have to adapt the version):

So, I suppose you can just emerge it and find out for yourself.
They have a forum. Maybe you can find another Gentoo user there. You might also try posting in the "unsupported software" gentoo forum.

Hi,
thanks for your explanation. Are there any other low-profile alternatives, which work especially with Gentoo? Up till now I used CPves to just manage the mailserver, which worked so far, but this software hasn't been developed any further for almost 4 years now. I could live with just an solution managing postfix+courier+antispam, but its hard to find any good one supporting Gentoo. Any ideas? |

I don't really know; I just use ssh and virtual terminals.
People seem to like Webmin, which provides a web-based server management interface with modules for various services (quite a lot, actually, including a number of mail servers).
