Hi there,
I have a new installation of Gentoo on my laptop, all is going as well as can be expected however I don't have a progress bar in dolphin when copying large files or directories.
I am using Dolphin with Fluxbox, I don't have KDE installed other than the dependencies for dolphin (also kate & k3b)
I have looked on google about how to get the progress bar / pop-up window back and everywhere says I have to right click on the icon in the system tray, however as I have no system tray in Fluxbox this isn't possible (to my limited knowledge) and as I have less than 100gig space on the Laptop I don't want to have to install KDE just to turn on file copying progress and I don't want to accidentally corrupt half copied files because I've forgotten that I've set them copying.
does anyone have any idea's? does this make any sense at all?
Cheers

Not using KDE, but you most likely need at least something providing a systray and kde-base/knotify (or something else from virtual/notification-daemon set). |
