Tv pal kde

I'm trying to configure my external TV on KDE 4.
I have a MacBook from 2008. I have tried to connect the TV on KDE and Gnome.
There is no option in X for a PAL setting. I use mindvi to connect with my TV. It is a LG Flatteron.
When I try to connect the TV flickers.
I think I'll have to configure xorg.conf. But I can not find any documentation for this.
Why can't I choose between PAL or NTCI?
Can anyone help me how to make my TV work with my computer on Gentoo?

In KDE System Settings, under Hardware you find the button "Display and Monitor".

If you boot with your Flatscreen attached the system should automatically recognize the PAL Refresh Rate of 50HZ, ideally by a resolution of 720*576.
