Tried to install fluxbox. Emerged it. Now, when I type fluxbox it says it can't connect to the X server. |

Errrrm- if you're doing what I think you're doing- typing 'fluxbox' at the console.. it doesn't work like that.
Edit your ~/.xinitrc file (it doesn't exist in a default gentoo installation, so create it if it's not there) and add the line 'exec fluxbox' to the bottom. ('exec fluxbox -antialias' to make it.. antialiased.) Remove any lines such as 'exec kde' or 'exec gnome-session' etc. etc.
To start fluxbox, type startx. |
