This is the wierd, I can't su to run emerge. I have to goto another VT to log in as root. I want to run emerge from within kde while logged in as a regular user. That way I can monitor the processes as they go along. I imagine that it's probably a security feature, but I don't like it. How do I get rid of it?
Thanks for any help,
