Hi,

My conky is starting automatically in my X session (from kdm), yet neither

Code:
grep -R conky /home/user/
or
Code:
grep -R conky /etc/
or
Code:
updatedb && locate conky

return any reason as to why it's starting (and yes, updatedb suceeds, and yes the last one is kind of unnecessary lol).

I'm running KDE and it is not saving the previous session. I kill conky and restart, and again, it's there. Strange no? I didn't emerged anything, specially an app at startup that could be calling this. (I mean, in user directory there's nothing, not even a binary that could be fetching conky, so all that remains is / binaries, but there's nothing new!)

Any thoughts?

Try saving the session without conky, does it still appear?

Thanks, but my kde does not save the session, and I always kill it before closing.

But it seems better now. Then I restarted the xserver and was showing up. I rebooted and was not, but restarted the xserver and showed up again.

Now I rebooted my laptop and restarted X for testing a few times and has not shown up. But I mean, one computer reboot should've been enough, why show up after a reboot and an xorg restart??

Hopefully it was some temporary file causing this. Let's see...

edit: marking as solved, must've been some temp file. If someone experiences the same, please post
