...and I don't like it!
I just bought this bluetooth keyboard and it paired trivially under a regular user login (belonging to these groups: wheel cron audio video games users netdev lpadmin portage kvm plugdev) with the Bluetooth applet of GNOME 3. In the old days--and it is still the top result instruction if I Google it--I have to write a device section into /etc/bluetooth/hcid.conf. The whole structure of the /etc/bluetooth seems to also have changed since I last used a bt device. I also realize that the service /etc/init.d/bluetooth is not even started.
So I have few questions:
1. How is that the keyboard also works under another user account or for that matter used to log in console?
2. The information/settings for the paired device must be stored somewhere that's writable by the user, where is it?
3. Any general description of the newer bluetooth stack somewhere? _________________ -----------------------------------------------------------
