|
|
Hi,
It seems a recent update has pulled in x11-base/xorg-server-1.11.2-r2 and having re-emerged various drivers I've got it working, except for one thing: I've been using the vnc module from tigervnc to get a vnc connection to display :0, but now if I make a connection and press a key it causes xorg to crash instantly. (Nothing seem to be written to the log file when this happens).
The display works from the console (well, Ctrl-Alt-Function-key switching doesn't seem to be reliable but this may not be relevant) and I can use virtual displays run from Xvnc with no problem.
I've just updated from net-misc/tigervnc-1.1.0-r2 to net-misc/tigervnc-1.1.0-r3 but it doesn't behave differently.
(I'm using kde if that helps, I haven't tried with a different login manager but I don't think this is the problem.)
Does anyone else have this issue or have any suggestions as to where I should start looking?
Thanks! |

When can I expect this to hit portage?
In the mean time, looks like I'll have to make a local portage copy of tigervnc (/usr/local/portage/net-misc/tigervnc) to house this updated patch, correct? |

When someone files a bug report. I'm lazy and I don't have a bugzilla account.
