I've filled in bug report https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=289207 but probably there are some people that could help.

As suggested I will also look for help within KDE Forums:
http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=98327

Sometimes I got the following message when trying to send message via IMAP via
KMail2:

E-mail sending failed: Failed to transport message. An error occurred during
authentication: SASL(0): successful result:

and am therefore unable to send any message.

Since it occurs once it keeps occuring until I reboot my machine.

I have fill KDE SC 4.8beta2

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
Send e-mail

Actual Results:

E-mail sending failed: Failed to transport message. An error occurred during
authentication: SASL(0): successful result:

Expected Results:
E-mail sent

I'll gladly provide any possible additional information if directed where to
look for.

I've had the same issue with 4.7 already, will give an update here when it happens again. What's your IMAP server actually?

In my case (gmail) I also get "Too many simultaneous connections" messages a lot (immediately after startup).

I have one GMail and one company server.

I've read somewhere that "too many connections" is nepomuk problem. I've never encountered it myself.

I'm having a similar problem, but in Kmail-4.7.4-r1...I haven't been able to send email since the latest emerge -avuDN world pulled in 4.7.4 stuff...I did have a notion to mask this until it became stable, but didn't...

my error is:

Quote:
Email sending failed: Failed to transport message. An error occurred during authentication: SASL(0): successful result:

I didn't change any settings with latest emerge -avuDN world...

any ideas? should I downgrade back to stable?
