I have an Intel 4500MHD and am wondering how to enable VSync on Xfce4's compositor. KDE4 had the option.

I assume you get some tearing in your videos? This is a common complaint with Xfwm's compositing. The easiest option is to just disable it while you're watching movies. It's easy enough to do by clicking a check box. If you must have compositing enabled all the time, you'll probably have to switch to compiz wm.

I have seen the tearing issue on Ati, Nvidia, and Intel graphics. So I don't think any certain GPU is responsible.

Are you talking about that "fullscreen overlay" option?
