It happens regardless of video player. I've tested in mplayer, vlc, and gstreamer.

However, the Xorg log doesn't appear to have anything useful in it... so I'm kind of at a loss. |

You're using the proprietary blob; this is a known problem in the current version of it. |

That made me feel silly - it's even listed in the post-install message.
It says to "configure your video playback software for OpenGL output" as a work around. But I don't see any obvious way to do that, and a Google search isn't helping much. Are there instructions anywhere on how to accomplish that? |

I might take this back. My google-mojo must be terrible lately. But I think I may have found it. I think the gst-plugins-gl are what I'm looking for. I'll come back if it's not. |
