After using Gentoo for many years, I had a first today!
I started a world update this afternoon, and when I came back to check its progress several hours later I decided it was a good time to have a Hersey Kiss that was on my desk... unfortunately for my little pile of Kisses, they had my laptop fan blowing on them in full force all afternoon, and they all melted!
The news isn't all bad, I think they will resolidify after a few hours in room temperature |

I think you mean that holiday candy is no match for Gentoo! My dual Xeon box's CPUs have a combined peak thermal dissipation of 260 watts, not to mention the RAID array. Properly placed, I believe I could boil that chocolate.

I did heat my flat with 2 IBM servers (x345) and updates. If it was getting cold, emerge -e world gave a comfortable warmth within 30 minutes. _________________ Please stand by - The mailer daemon is busy burning your messages in hell... |
