Hi there,
after some year of Gnome abuse I moved back to XFCE4. The only thing I miss is some remote filesystem management - like remote FTP, SFTP, NTFS whatever folders present on my box. This feature I missed in XFCE before - and good in Gnome putting the bookmarks to Places comfortably and so on.
I know gigolo, but as I see nothing changed in the last one year. Any other solution?

Thanx a lot!

A desktop environment doesn't must deal with these spheres of using such as a work with remote file systems. It isn't good ideologically.
For ftp do you like the console ftp manager "ftp" or graphical "FileZilla"?

Doesn't that just mean it's stable?

EDIT: It looks actively maintained -- all recent commits have been just been translations.

I understand that. But it is very comfortable to have 'bookmarks' of remotes and start an app without much thinking whether that remote is an ftp, ntfs, sftp or so.
