|
|
Come from installing a fresh gentoo on virtualbox. I'll need this box for testing otrs. Did an emerge otrs followed by an --autounmask-write, etc-update to unmask needed packages, and then startet the emerge process.
I soon realized, that there is an upgrade of perl, so I thought I should be able to fix the probs with perl-cleaner --all, but it still fails to emerge couple of perl Modules.
Should I file a bug, as suggested in perl-cleaner Documentation?
Thanks in advance for your readin/helping.
Things I have already tried:
- Emerge with ccache disabled and -j1
- perl-cleaner --reallyall and --all
- python-updater
- lafilefixer --justfixit
- emerge --resume --keep-going
- revdep-rebuild
- emerge -e system/world

Regarding copying the logs, emerge wgetpaste and use it to get the logs onto the web. You can then cut & paste relevant sections from there.

Hi John,
thank you for the hint.
So here we go:
http://paste.pocoo.org/show/517077/
emerge --info:
http://paste.pocoo.org/show/517078/
Thanks in advance for putting me into the right direction.
Regarding profile: I had started with default/linux/x86/10.0/server, but then seen some messages during emerge so I thought maybe I should use hardened profile. But not (yet) knowing much bout hardened and selinux profiles, I decided to try the default/linux/x16/10.0 Profile. |

Anyone pliis ? Is it me? Is the problem not clearly described?
I really dont want to mark as solved by using another distro as I use gentoo for years now, and love this distro...
Anyone an idea, on how to solve this? |

Can anyone help me on this topic? I really dont know what I should provide further
Then I have seen that the title of the bug was changed, so I am asking myself, wether I should file a bug for every packet, that could not be emerged, as all the packages mentioned here do not build: http://paste.pocoo.org/show/517077/
Or is gentoo just not the right distro for this purpose of testing otrs?
Thanks in advance for sharing some infos/giving a hint or something.... |

OK, I dont know wether it's me but it seems that gentoo is just not the right distro for this purpose, so while waiting to see if there is some progress in this case - I will start installing otrs on an opensuse virtual box... |

| I ran into the same errors as you, but could emerge OTRS when not using the USE-Flag "mod_perl". I then followed the instructions here: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-891596.html and get to the install script. |

| Hello and thanks for replying. As I already had mod_perl useflag set, I tried to emerge without it, and it worked. Strangely enough afterwards I retried to emerge with mod_perl and this works now, too. In the meantime I also resynced so I am not really able to reproduce. If having little off free time, I will remove everything regarding otrs, and try to reproduce the compile failure to report back to the bug I have filled. |
