Hi,

----background info----

I have a system with 2 GPUs (Intel onboard & AMD discrete) and 2 screens (a TV which is not always on to the left of a normal monitor which is always on). I've happily been using this set-up with two seperate X screens (1 server, 2 screens; that way I don't have to use xinerama, which kills compositing). Until Gnome 3 came. Gnome 3 refuses to run Gnome Shell in this set-up. On Bugzilla I found out that this is due to having two Device sections in xorg.conf, which Gnome 3 just can't work with.

My plan is to either implement a complicated set-up using two X servers, or to simply disable the Intel card and switch to the AMD blob. However, I need to know something before I do that:

---end background info; tl;dr version starts here:---

In AMD's Big Desktop mode, the default lay-out is to show your desktop environment (panel, icons, etc) on the left screen, and to show an empty screen to the right. Can I change this, so that the right screen becomes the primary screen and the left screen becomes the secondary?

Thanks :)

You can probably set it up from the ati control panel. Just run it as root. It's called "amdcccle" or something similar
