... user studies a bunch of flashcards?
I was asked to lock down the computer - let the user browse internet only after she has studied some flashcards.
I have almost no idea where to start. I think of using app-misc/anki for flashcards, because I heard good about it. I could restrict internet connection with iptables... But how to unrestrict access when study is finished?
We assume user is not going to hack, and even if restriction is easy to bypass, it may work fine.
Any ideas? |

I wrote an 'internet switch' program for a paranoid client once who wanted to be able to 'turn off the internet'. All it did was remove/replace the gateway entry upon a button press. |
