I have a following problem. Every time I boot into gentoo I mount my Windows2000 partition (read-only) so that I can access some files, which I do on a regular basis. Now, when I'm logged in as root there are no problems but when I try to access the mounted directory as a different user I am denied due to insufficient privileges. Is there any way to get around this? Can I give another user access, all I need is read permissions, to that mounted directory? I've tried changing the permissions on the directory after mounting but I get a message that I can't do that because it's read-only. Also, mounting the partition changes my current set of permissions for the directory to dr-x------. Thanks in advance. |
