Hi all,

i would like to know, if it is possible to run special script when a user logs into KDE3.5 for the first time just after his $HOME/.kde is created.

kde 3.x is no longer in portage, but if my memory serves correctly its version of kdebase-startkde (just like the current one) was and is a shell script. You should be able to just edit that script and put into it something like this

Code:
if [ ! -d "${HOME}/.kde" ]; then
   <do whatever>
fi


The .kde directory is probably created from this same script, so you will have to locate where it is created, and put your code before that. I can't suggest anything more concrete.
