I can't seem to merge mplayer. I've tried over the past two weeks or so, but it keeps failing like this:
Code: |
emake failed
* ERROR: media-video/mplayer-1.0_rc4_p20101114 failed (compile phase):
* died running emake, base_src_make
*
* Call stack:
* ebuild.sh, line 91: Called src_compile
* environment, line 2882: Called base_src_compile
* environment, line 594: Called base_src_make
* environment, line 632: Called die
* The specific snippet of code:
* emake "$@" || die "died running emake, $FUNCNAME";
*
* If you need support, post the output of 'emerge --info =media-video/mplayer-1.0_rc4_p20101114',
* the complete build log and the output of 'emerge -pqv =media-video/mplayer-1.0_rc4_p20101114'.
* The complete build log is located at '/var/tmp/portage/media-video/mplayer-1.0_rc4_p20101114/temp/build.log'.
* The ebuild environment file is located at '/var/tmp/portage/media-video/mplayer-1.0_rc4_p20101114/temp/environment'.
* S: '/var/tmp/portage/media-video/mplayer-1.0_rc4_p20101114/work/mplayer-1.0_rc4_p20101114'

I thought it was a bug with the tree at first, but I sync everyday, and it keeps failing.
Here's the output of "emerge --info =media-video/mplayer-...". |

You've not posted the actual compilation error. It will be in the lines that appeared before the portage waffle. |

Galumph,
Please pastebin the entire /var/tmp/portage/media-video/mplayer-1.0_rc4_p20101114/temp/build.log
You might want to try testing mplayer, its 4 months newer. There is also mplayer2 now. _________________ Regards,

I tried building the ~x86 version as Ned suggested and it works. I guess I'll just stick to that for now. |
