Video chat recommendations?

Can anyone recommenced a video chat application that works?
I tried kopete. no luck
been checking out goober

Personally, I don't fully trust 3rd party binaries so I use a user (creatively called skype) to run it and set sudo to allow my normal user to run it without a password. That way it can't get at anything too important if there is something nasty in it.
