Thunder mail 3.1 wont open PDF attachments

I recently updated my system and thundermail got updated to version 3.1, however, now it wont open pdf attachments. I browsed over at their website searching for an pdf reader extension/plug in, but did not see one. Any suggestions...thanks in advance.
